I love to work with talented and creative people, who push me and allow me to bring their culinary vision to life trough my lens.

People are more and more used to check out a restaurant’s online presence before booking a reservation. Marketing and Social -Media tools like Instagram and Facebook, make your business stand out from the competition, utilising professional photography to direct more attention to the uniqueness of your culinary work with mouth watering food images.

One of my favourite movies on food is ‘City of Gold’, which chronicles Pulitzer Prize-winning restaurant critic Jonathan Gold’s relationship with food and culture of Los Angeles. He maps and discovers Los Angeles through different ethnic food experiences so we can discover and unterstand the city and it’s culture through food.

Food is what brings uns together and plays an important role in the lives of families in most cultures. People and food are mobile. Families move to other parts of the country and preserve their dishes from generations, celebrate their traditions and enrich them with new ingredients and flavours. Immigrants bring their food preferences and recipes and match them with local food, people follow their religious laws, prescriptions or other habits and rules consuming food.

Food has also always played a role in art. We associate beautiful still lives of the Dutch golden age, paintings that attest to the owners's’ wealth and intellectual engagement. Greek and Romans decorated their places with paintings of food as a symbol of power and luxury and to boast the delicacies that rich citizens enjoyed.

People of all times socialised around food, enjoying nature and a pick-nick (Manet) or a boat party (Renoir), or even humble people like peasants and farmers eating their modest meals in Vincent Van Gogh’s painting ‘The Potatoe Eaters’.

Food makes an excellent subject for still life photography. I’m a professional food photographer and work with studio light, available light in restaurant kitchens and natural light, but I don’t shoot food as a commercial object.

I have a background in art and a Phd in art history, professional experiences as a curator, art critic, photographer and editor.

However my passion for food and photography came together when i collaborated with the Escola d’Hoteleria in Palma, magazines, cook book authors and chefs in restaurants around the world.
