Brigitte Lucke is a published author, curator, editor and photographer specialised culture and travel photography. 1992 she graduated with a PHD in Art History from Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms- University in Bonn. She specialised on the history of urbanism and architecture and worked as assistant to Prof.Werner Oechslin and Prof.Leopold Ettlinger at the University in Bonn. In 1995 she translated to Palma de Mallorca (Spain) where she has been working as a German lecturer at the University of the Balearic Islands UIB.

Her background in art history and her passion for art and culture of the Balearic Islands led to her effort to show the German public that Mallorca is more than just a holiday destination but has a long tradition in art and culture. Her book about contemporary art in Mallorca, her numerous publications in German magazines helped many artists and gallery owners to establish themselves on the German art market, a mission that led to the publication of the art magazine CM Cultura Mallorca.

Today Brigitte Lucke can be found in art museums and galleries, or photographing landscape, culture, and food on her extended travels around the world.

She also conducts workshops on culture and landscape photography, photo editing in Lightroom and Photoshop and is known for her Sunday photo walks on the beautiful island Mallorca, where she is based in Palma.
